  1. I completely disagree with this statement. It might be true that people gain experience and knowledge when they grow older. However, there is not any reason for thinking that older people cannot learn anything from youngsters. On the contrary, I believe that older people have many things to learn from young people . For instance, young people can teach adults about current technology. They can teach them how to use a modern cell phone like a smart phone, or how to use a digital camera which is a very modern product.

  2. Generally, many people think that older people can lern nothing from young people.Besides they claim that older people know everything better than youngers.Nonetheless,I argue that young people can master something that the older people do not know.To illustrate, we know that there are things that have changed in the past few years, one of the which is technology. Many older people have difficulties to use it as a tool in their daily life. On the other hand, Young people have enough information about computer because they grow with it. Thus, young people can help older people how to use it,how to imprint their work and how to sent emails.

  4. I disagree with this statement for several reasons. One of them is that everybody has different experiences, so it is impossible that adults have lived the same experiences than younger people. As a result of this, younger people have a lot of experience and knowledge about a lot of things that older people don't. For instance, younger people know a lot of technology because they have grown up with it. And older people have more difficulties to adapt to technology because it is new for them.

  5. This statement is not valid for me. In my opinion, there is always something to learn from other people. Therefore, older people can learn many interesting things from young people. For example, older people could learn about technology which is a field very well handled by youngsters. Not only that, but they also could learn about new concepts of life since this is a globalized world where most of things have changed.

  6. I totally disagree with this statement. There are many things that older people can learn from young people. Due to technological revolution, we are living in a world that is constantly changing; thus, there are always new things that older people can learn. Also, teaching not required having a high level of knowledge. The most important is to have the ability to transmit it. Young people have developed different learning strategies that they use to learn.

  7. Many people claim taht young people don`t have enough knowledge to teach other. However, I`m against this proposal. Because the adults have to go to work, they have little time studying new things, especially new technologies and searching for new information. A young boy or girl; in contrast, can spend his or her whole time studying. He or she can read science articles on Internet, watch "discovery channel" on TV in many hours without any concern about their work. Briefly, adults do not have as much time as youngsters to learn new things. This help youngster to learn more; as a result, they have a lot more to teach.

  8. I disagree with this statement because young people have the same capacity, furthermore young people have updated knowledge as technology and managment of new process. Older can have experience in many aspects but many of them don't know how to use them because the globazitation is changing the way the people live and work . Young people and older people need to work together in order to both learn from each other

  10. Opponents claim that young people lack the experience necessary to train or instruct older people. It might be true that youngsters do not have enough "life of experience", but they have important values in many other fields. Such as their strength, their spontaneity, enthusiasm to do things, and joy of living. In my case for example, I am an older person, and I feel very good when I am among young people. They give me a lot of my strength

  11. I totally disagree with it because there are a lot new things that young people know and for older people is difficult to understand. For example how to use an smartphone, a laptop or how to surf in the web.

  12. I am completely disagree with this statement. I strongly believe that there are a lot of things that older people people can learn from young people. Even though young people do not have plenty of life experience, they know a lot of different things like technology, trends and new ways how to study and learn easily. For instance they can teach us how to use a cellphone, a microwave, an Ipad. Also older people can learn from them how to enjoy life without worrying too much.

  13. I totaly disagree with this statement. I believe that there's a lot of thing to learn from young people, and because they were born in a more advanced age, they have been surrounded by technology since infancy. For instance, their ability to learn about technology is more developed than adult’s ability.

  14. I totally disagree with this statement. First of all young people are more motivated, they aspire to be successful and chose a good career, which requiere knowledge and experience, then they get these things of work and study. For example my brother is a engineer, he works in fishing company and he studies international business at night, he always is reading books and searching information on the internet. My brother is the youngest person in that Company but everybody listen to him because he always has air fresh and new ideas.

  15. I completely disagree with this statement. I strongly believe that older people can learn a lot of things from young people. Even though young people do not have plenty of life experience, they know a lot of different things, such us technology, new trends and new ways how to study and learn easily. For instance they can teach us how to use a cellphone, a microwave, an Ipad, etc. Also older people can learn from them how to enjoy life without worrying too much. One example of this is my little cousin, she teachs us all the time to smile or do not to fight, she says "calm down, please", "do not fight"; she reminds us to be happy and how to enjoy life.

  16. I completely disagree whit this statement, first of all, the word nothing is to general,it gives the image that young people do not have any kind of experience, when we know that it is not true.
young people see the life in a different way so it cuold help adults to have a fresh point of view of the new thing that are apearing in this modern world.

  17. I agree with Marbby Mijahuanca.... Yuong people va new ideas that can inovate the way adults are used to preform their activities. We need to move fast just as the world does, young people opens the posibility to make everything in a diferent way.

I'm conviced that young people can teach many things to older people. Just by looking at the young, adults can learn about the society better because there are older people that always complains that young people are crazy or unmotivated. I don't think that we are because long time ago things were different than now and older people do not understand why. I think because they are more conservative and have another concept, but now we can see that there are many older that understand young people because they have learned different things like new social trends, music ( i preffer 70 's and80's music) and technology.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I completely disagree with this statement. I think that it is a traditional point of view that consider that time has not changed. There are many fields that older people are more novice than young people. For instance, young people know about last fashion trends, new dances, adventure sports, video games, and others. I am against that some older people do not want to recognize that young people have different knowledges because those older people usually consider mathematics, language, or science like the unique source of knowlegde. Also, young people are open minded, and they have more flexible mind frames than older people, who are contaminated with their believes.

  20. Honestly, I do not agree with this fool statement, because there are so many young people who teach others very well, without having any experience art all, besides they use some sources to make the learning process even more interesting than someone who has a lot of experience. for instance, due to my high knowledge about costs analysis and finances applied to projects, sometimes I have to teach my classmates about these topics, and I do it without having real experience about them, and I do it so well because after having teach them, my partners get good grades and that is a good proof that young people can teach so well without any experience about what they teach.

  21. Essay 1

Living at the start of the new millennium, in the most advanced technological era in history, one is confronted with a plethora of knowledge and information which itself continues to become outdated by the moment. Since young people possess the ability to learn new concepts and absorb information faster and easier, many new products or ideas could be taught to old people if they possessed the desire to learn.

The computer, for old people, has emerged as the first barrier and stigma. With a computer, one can work without paper and pencil, obtain useful searches on the Internet or make online purchases from ones home. However, many older people are not able to do these things since using a computer initially demands a modicum of knowledge and skill. If one has time, there are rewards, however, to teaching our grandparents how to use a computer in order that they could discover the many benefits and pleasure of using a computer.

In addition to new technological products, ideas or concepts that have helped shape young people can be conveyed to old people. Many old people maintain that health, for example, suggests an absence of disease. Yet many of us have realized that the notion of being healthy contains emotional, social and physical health rather than simply living without illness. Such scientific notions could be learned by old people from their children because young people may acquire such new ideas quickly. Why not learn something new from youngsters in order to adjust to a modern lifestyle and become healthier?

There is no doubt that there are many things we should learn from older people such as aspects of traditional culture or some valuable, life-teaching experience. But in modern society, it is the young who, at the forefront of the era, possess updated knowledge, positioning old people to learn from those younger

  22. Essay 2

It is true and natural that people should gain experience and knowledge as they grow older. There is no ground for thinking that older people cannot learn anything from young people. I believe that older people have much to learn from the younger generation. Young people can instruct them in the subject of new technology and the skills needed to use it, and they can also teach the aspects of youth culture.

First of all, younger people can teach new skills associated with modern technology to older people. As everyone knows, there are new technological advancements made nearly every day, Even for people who are familiar with modern technology, it is sometimes hard to keep up, so it must be difficult for older people who see these things as beyond their grasp. For example, younger people are normally knowledgeable in the use of computers and the internet, but many people have trouble learning the applications required to use this technology. There are many other gadgets that older people may have trouble learning to use such as digital cameras, mp3 players and game systems. However, younger people can instruct the older generation in these applications if given the chance.

In addition, the younger generation can instruct older people in aspects of current youth culture. We often hear about the problems associated with generation gaps. These problems are caused mainly by a lack of communication as well as hesitation to communicate at all. However, the problems of generation gaps could be alleviated if both younger people and older people tried to learn about forms of entertainment that younger people enjoy such as music and computer games, younger people can teach youth culture to older people; as a result, the generations are able to enjoy them together. By taking part in the cultural entertainment together, a mutual understanding can be fostered, which will benefit one another.

In conclusion, thought it is often assumed that older people have little to learn from younger people, this opinion cannot be any more false. Younger people can really help older people a lot on the area of new skills associated with modern technology and in being educated in the culture of modern youth, which promotes mutual enjoyment and understanding. All that is needed is for the generations involved to give each other a chance. They may be surprised at the pleasant results.

  25. Essay 3

Human society is dynamic. It changes and adapts daily. Something new comes up every minute of the day. Such as new songs, new movies, new style of clothes, new gadgets, new destinations, new cars, new television programs, new websites, new software, new hand held phones, new buildings, and so on. Even if you age in years, there is no limit in learning something new.

Likewise, there are things that older people can learn from the younger generation. The Internet is one good example. This was introduced in the 1980s, mostly used in the business sector. Gradually, it was offered to the public through Internet cafés. Nowadays, it is widely used for enhanced communications. We now have electronic mails (e-mail), messengers, VOIP, and web cams. The older generation is not familiar with these gadgets. They learn how to use them from the younger generation. Through web cams, Internet phones, cell phones, and Net Messengers, family members are able to talk to one another in real time despite long distances.

The youth can also bridge the age gap with the elders through songs and dances. Music is a universal language and appreciated by all people around the world despite cultural differences. Songs of love will always have an audience, young and old alike.

Another interesting activity is travelling. Since most of the young people are active, mobile, and sociable, they are also well informed of the latest destinations and recreation centers. On family day, usually Sunday, the elderly persons are taken to these popular places. Along with their children and grandchildren, the elders enjoy the sights, sounds, and new product offerings especially if they are given away for free.

Therefore, everyday is always a new day to learn. The older generation can teach wisdom while the younger members can teach them trendy living. Through the youths, the older people can maintain contact with them and still be relevant in the society. The younger generation will keep the older generation in touch with the community.

  26. Essay 4

The older generation today always complains that the youth are unmotivated and directionless; they lack focus and the future is going down because of these behaviors. Nonetheless, youth are the product of its upbringing and the representation of its time. Thus, what they are and what they know will certainly be different from those of the older generation. Therefore, to say that the youngsters are useless is not only wrong as they can also contribute in their own way and teach the older generation a lesson or two.

As we all know, today's technology moves very fast. With our daily responsibility, it is almost impossible for us to keep up with every little new gadget that comes out everyday. With young people, it's different; new things interest them. Furthermore, being young means that they absorb new knowledge like a sponge. Thus, they can help us in getting in tune with new technologies. Young kids, for example, can probably teach their grandparents to use the computers which in turn, will also be good for their relationships.

In addition to that, by looking at the young, we can learn about the society better. As I've mentioned earlier, youngsters represent their time, hence, by understanding them, we can understand the needs of the society, as this group of age is the most outspoken. A good example would be the hippie movement in the 60s. The movement displayed their dissatisfaction with the system and the need for more freedom of expression.

As someone once said, "Life is a learning experience", thus, from that, we can deduce that there is no full stop to the process of learning. Therefore, instead of being critical and cynical, maybe we can try to understand the youth better by learning from each other. After all, they are the future.

  27. Although many people think that there is nothing that the new generation can teach older people, I strongly believe that there is always something new to learn.
It is clear that old people have great knowdledge about things we do not know. However, there are some others we can teach them. For instance, technology is always changing and the old generation should be sure that we will always be there to teach them.

  28. Honestly, I completely disagree with this statement because nowadays young people are teaching to older people about any kind of topic. For example, young people teach to older people about music, computers, cellphones, and so on.Older people can not say that they know all about life because young people are living in a century;as a consequence, they are getting new experiences that older people could not live.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Although older people think that young people cannot teach anything to older people since all is based in the experience that older people have, I strongly belive that young people can teach new things to older people. For instance, older people do not know how to dance salsa, so they need an instructor, who is a young person. Also, young people can teach the new ways of entertaiment such as playing video games or practicing extreme sports like bungee jumping or mountain climbing

    ReplyDelete
  30. In my personal opinion, I desagree with this topic because nowadays many young people are teaching to their parents in order to facilitate their problems with the new trends .It is helpful for both generations, in the fact both can cooperate and share their opinions to get a conclusion about something.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Many people know that older adults are the wisest people because of their vast experience and knowledge, but the problem is that they refuse to recognize that young people can teach them. Older people think they need not to learn anything from the younger people; however, I believe that younger people have a lot of things to teach and instruct to older people. For example, young people can educate older people in topics such as the new technology used today, the culture of young people or ways to have fun because those are the issues that young people dominate.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Even though older people think that teenagers or simply young people can not teach anything , is a total mistake , there are several things that we can teach to them , such us how to use a cellphone, how to dance electronic music , how to use a computer , how to play videogames , etc.As I said before, there is a vast list of things that young people can teach older people ;I know that they have more experience but , there is always something to learn about.

    ReplyDelete
  33. That young people can not teach anything older people is wrong for some reasons. First, some people can teach older people how to face the problems nowadays, like globalization, because it is necessary to use the new technology. Furthermore, young people can teach older people how to improve that older people did in the past, and it is possible using the nwe technology and the experiences of older people. In conlcusion, older people still can learn something of younger people.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I strongly disagree with that statement. I think there are many things old people can learn from youngsters. For example, old people most of the time do not know how to handle new things about technology such as cellphones, computers, softwares , or stuff like that; however, young people know how to do it because they deal with all these new things everyday, so that is one thing they can learn from the young ones.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I do not agree with this statement. Although young people have to live more experiences and learn more about life, I believe that there are many things they can teach older people. The young generation is the leader in learning how to use the new technology and they have created new concepts in music, arts, and literature. Also, young people are really responsible with social issues like poverty and global warming and they are starting to make their own businesses by themselves. Having said these, resistance from older people to accept that young people can teach them something is quite illogical. The fresh ideas from young people are the ones changing our world to make it better.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I totally disagree with the idea of ‘There is nothing that young people can teach older people’. I strongly believe that the young generation has a lot of things to teach and show. We have ideas more creative and we are more liberals. Even though, the older generation think that this is wrong or maybe we are too wild and don’t thing about consequences, I believe that we are able to teach something new to the old generation.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I do not agree with this statement. I strongly believe that older people have to learn a lot about new generation. Young generation is more active and creative. They always are creating new things for this era and for the next era.
Older people say that younger generation is lazy because they are used to having everything easy and fast. However, nowadays everything is more easy with the new technology (smartphones , ipods and computer).Older people could use this technology machines to do some documents or communicate with others. This ways is cheap and fast. For example , if you do not know a word in english , you have to look for on a dictionary . You can use your smartphone and just look for and in just two seconds you will get the meaning.

Indeed, older people have to learn a lot about new generation on the contrary they will be lost in this new era. To learn for young people it is not bad, on the contrary it is better because you have your own knowledge and other people knowledge.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I totally desagre with this statement. Many of us believe that young people have nothing valuable to teach older people. However that is not always the case. Young people can teach older people about technology, young culture, and how to life to an extreme again. It is truth universally acknowledged that the old people have volumes of experience, while the young have the energy and lots of creative power. Therefore I think that it's not suitable to take sides in this situation. Because in my view there is no way to determine who is better - the old or the young. Despite the fact that people believe that young people cannot teach anything to older people, I strongly believe that each group have its own positive and negative and also young people can teach many things to older people.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I disagre with this statement due to the fact that we are all living in a world that is constantly changing, and things, such as new technology, new forms of comunication, new forms of entertainment or funky rithms are sometimes surpassing the limits of imagination. Since my point of view somehow or another it does not have much sence. We (as young people) are all exposed to new experiences everyday and we are more likely to follow new trends;nontheless, sometimes we are reluctant to teach others ,whether older or even elder people, so we must consider that if we show them how to develop new skills the way we do it, we could be actually living in a better society. As someone once said"It's silly to talk of old age; there's always a young person inside"(Sybil Thorndike).

  41. I totally disagre with this statement. The older generation today always complains that youth are unmotivated and directionless; they lack focus and the future is going down because of these behaviors. It is true and natural that people gain experience and knowledge when they grow older for that reason; they think that there is nothing young people can teach older people. However, I believe that it is not true because young people can teach older people many things. For example, we can teach them how to use an iphone or how to use computer.

Indeed, older people can learn many things from young people; neverthelees, many people say that it is not true and there is nothing young people can teach older people, but I believe that young people can really help older people in different areas like technology and knowledge because never too late to learn.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I totally disagree with this statement because there will be always something that young people could teach older people. The new generations are growing along with technology. Older generations have to understand that young people are the future of the world and we both can use that as an advantage to contribute in different ways to get good profits. It also will be a good idea to figure out that we can learn from each other.

Everyone has to remember that "Life is a learning experience". Thus, from that we can deduce that there is no full stop to the process of learning no matters if you are young or older. Instead of being critical maybe it is better to try to understand each other.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I strongly disagree with that statement. Younger people are more able to get new knowledge than older people. For that reason, new technology advances are easier to understand youngest.Topics such as modern music, technology advances or market trends are totally managed by younger people; so, if oldest want to be at rhythm, they have to be humbles and learn from youngest.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I totally disagree with the statement “There is nothing that Young people can teach to older people” because there are many things that they can learn from us because no matter what your age is, there is always something to learn. Older people are always complaining that we just think about the present which is not true because young people have their goals and are focus on their future but older people always want to be an example of life because they have more years. Although older people have more experience in life ,I believe It does not mean that they know everything and young people have nothing to teach them because there is always something to learn from others .
